About Aspidoscelis velox (Springer, 1928)
The plateau striped whiptail, scientifically named Aspidoscelis velox, is a teiid lizard species native to Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico in the United States. It was introduced to Cove Palisades State Park in the state of Oregon as early as the 1960s. The species has persisted since its introduction, and its range has expanded locally into surrounding areas.
