About Aspidoscelis marmoratus (Baird & Girard, 1852)
Aspidoscelis marmoratus, commonly called the marbled whiptail, ranges from 8 to 12 inches in total length. Its overall body color is gray or black, marked with 4 to 8 yellow or white stripes, and it often has dark mottling that creates a marbled appearance. The underside of the lizard is white or pale yellow, and its throat has a peach coloration. Marbled whiptails have slender bodies and long tails.
