Aspidoscelis deppii, commonly known as the blackbelly racerunner, is a species of lizard belonging to the family Teiidae. This species is native to Central America and southern Mexico, and three subspecies are currently recognized. The geographic range of A. deppii includes Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and multiple southern states of Mexico: Chiapas, Guerrero, Jalisco, Michoacán, Morelos, and Oaxaca. Its preferred natural habitats are forest, shrubland, grassland, and rocky areas, occurring at altitudes from 0 to 1,200 meters (0 to 3,937 feet). A. deppii reproduces by laying eggs, meaning it is oviparous.
