Asphodeline taurica is scattered in northern and central Greek mountains, reaching Sterea Ellas and north Peloponnisos, with records from several mountains, and our records add three new ones to its distribution in Greece.

About Asphodeline taurica (Pall. ex M.Bieb.) Endl.

Asphodeline taurica is scattered in the mountains of northern and central Greece. It extends southward to Sterea Ellas and northern Peloponnisos, with its southernmost Greek location on Mt. Chelmos (Goulimis 1960, Andersson 1991b, Authier 1994, Authier 2002, Tan et al. 2006, Strid et al. 2020; herbarium specimens in B with JACQ - IDs 655330 and 655358). In the floristic region of northeastern Greece, the species has been reported from Mt. Falakro (Tan et al. 2006), Mt. Papikio (Andersson 1991b), and Mt. Angistro (JACQ - ID 655358, B). Our records (Fig. 4) add three new mountains to the distribution of this uncommon species in Greece.
