Asphodeline lutea (L.) Rchb. grows to between 0.9 and 1.2 metres (3 to 4 feet) in height, and reaches 0.3 to 0.6 metres (1 to 2 feet) in width. Its grey-green leaves grow 0.3 metres (1 foot) tall, while the flower stalk reaches 0.9 to 1.2 metres (3 to 4 feet) tall. This stalk bears a dense raceme of bright yellow flowers, each 2.5 cm (1 inch) across.
