About Asimina longifolia Kral

Asimina longifolia Kral is a small shrub that grows 2 to 3 feet tall. Its most noticeable features are long, narrow leaves measuring 4 by 1/4 inches, and white flowers. Its pollen is released in permanent tetrad groups. This species prefers to grow in dry pinelands or dry maritime forests. It has been observed growing alongside Florida phlox, queen's delight, laurel oak, and coastal blackroot, among other plant species. Flowering has been recorded from spring through summer. Asimina longifolia has been found growing in areas that have been excluded from fire, as well as in areas that have been burned.
