About Arum hygrophilum Boiss.

Arum species are divided into two groups based on the relative height of their inflorescences. "Cryptic" Arum species produce inflorescences on short peduncles that grow amid or below the leaves, while "flag" Arum species produce inflorescences that sit above leaf level at the end of long peduncles. Arum hygrophilum Boiss. is classified as a flag species. This species has a white inner spathe with purple accents, and its small spadix is dark purple.
