Arogalea cristifasciella, commonly known as the stripe-backed moth, is a moth species belonging to the family Gelechiidae. It is native to North America, and has been officially recorded in the following locations: Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Ontario, Quebec, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. The forewings of this species measure approximately 5 mm in length. Adult Arogalea cristifasciella have been observed in flight from January through August.
