About Aroga unifasciella (Busck, 1903)

Aroga unifasciella (Busck, 1903) is a species of moth belonging to the family Gelechiidae. In North America, its recorded range extends from Montana southward to western New Mexico, and westward through Arizona to eastern and southern California. This moth has a wingspan of approximately 18 mm. Its forewings are deep bronzy black; the dorsal edge below the fold, from the base to the cilia, is white, and a narrow, inwardly curved white fascia is present at the apical fourth of the wing. The black areas of the forewing are lightly sprinkled with tiny bluish white specks. The hindwings are shining light fuscous. Adult Aroga unifasciella are active on the wing from July through September.
