Arnoglossum reniforme, commonly called great Indian plantain, is a North American plant species belonging to the sunflower family. It is native to the central and east-central United States, where it occurs primarily in the Appalachian Mountains, the Ohio/Tennessee Valley, and the Mississippi Valley. Additional populations of the species can be found further east in New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina, and further west in Oklahoma. Arnoglossum reniforme is a large plant that can grow up to 300 cm (120 inches, or 10 feet) tall. It produces many small flower heads, which are usually white or pale green. This species grows in open, wooded areas.
