Aristolochia baetica L. is an evergreen climbing plant that only rarely grows procumbent. Its leaves are triangular and cordate, with glaucous lobes that reach one quarter the size of the full leaf. The flowers measure between 2 and 5 centimetres in length, and their colour ranges from brownish-purple to reddish.
