About Aristida vagans Cav.
Aristida vagans Cav., commonly known as threeawn speargrass, is a grass species native to Australia. It grows in dry eucalyptus woodland or forest, and can grow up to 80 centimeters (30 inches) tall. Its specific epithet vagans comes from Latin, and it means "wanderer". This plant was first collected by botanists in Sydney, and it was formally published in 1799 by Spanish taxonomist Antonio José Cavanilles.
