About Argyrocosma inductaria (Guenée)

Argyrocosma inductaria (Guenée) is a moth species belonging to the family Geometridae. It was first described by Achille Guenée in 1857. This moth can be found in Sri Lanka, India, Peninsular Malaysia, and Borneo. Its wingspan measures approximately 1 cm. The base color of its wings is greenish. The caterpillar of this species is a pale, dull green, with dark shading along its dorsal and lateral sides. It has a white subdorsal line. Its body is wrinkled (rugose) and covered in many small conical spines. The caterpillar's spiracles are reddish brown. The caterpillars feed on host plants of the Buchanania genus. This species pupates inside a cocoon constructed from detritus and flower parts.
