The great argus, with the scientific name Argusianus argus (Linnaeus, 1766), is a species of pheasant. It has brown body plumage, a blue head and neck, a rufous red upper breast, black hair-like feathers on its crown and nape, and red legs. Unlike most other members of Galliformes, the great argus does not have a uropygial gland. This species is native to the jungles of Borneo, Sumatra, and the Malay Peninsula in southeast Asia.
