About Argolamprotes micella (Denis & Schiffermüller), 1775

Argolamprotes micella, commonly known as the bright neb, is a moth species belonging to the family Gelechiidae. It occurs across most of Europe, with the exceptions of Ireland, the Iberian Peninsula, and most of the Balkan Peninsula. Outside of Europe, the species is recorded from Siberia, the Russian Far East, the southern Kuril Islands, and Japan. This moth inhabits hedgerows, open woodland, and gardens. It has a wingspan ranging from 10 to 14 mm. Adult moths are active on the wing during June and July. The larvae of Argolamprotes micella feed on Rubus idaeus and Rubus fruticosus, and they consume their food from within the plants' flowering shoots and buds.
