About Arenaria leptoclados (Rchb.) Guss.
Arenaria leptoclados, commonly known as lesser thyme-leaved sandwort, is a flowering plant species belonging to the family Caryophyllaceae. It is an annual decumbent herb native to Europe, western and Central Asia, as well as northern and eastern Africa. It typically grows up to 0.5 meters (2 feet) in height, produces white flowers, and blooms from late winter to spring. Its native range stretches from Macaronesia, through Mediterranean Basin countries in southern Europe and North Africa, to eastern Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, Western Asia, the Caucasus, and Central Asia as far as Siberia, Mongolia, and Pakistan. It also extends through Central Europe to Ukraine and Central European Russia. The species has been introduced to Scandinavia, Great Britain, Ireland, and the southeastern United States. It has also been introduced and has become naturalised in Western Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, and South Australia.
