Ardeadoris averni is a species of nudibranch that has a white body with a bright red border along its mantle. The gills and rhinophores of this species are white with red lines. Individuals of this species can grow up to 55 millimetres in length. This species was first scientifically described from specimens collected in the Capricorn Group, Great Barrier Reef, Queensland, Australia. It is also known to occur in the Western Pacific Ocean off Papua New Guinea and the Philippines.
