About Archips dissitana (Grote, 1879)
Archips dissitana, commonly called the boldly-marked archips moth, is a moth species belonging to the family Tortricidae. This species is found in North America. Its recorded range extends from Alberta to Nova Scotia in the north, and southward to Minnesota and the Appalachian Mountains region of North Carolina. Its native habitat is boreal forests. The wingspan of adult Archips dissitana is approximately 24 millimeters. Flying adults have been observed from mid-June through late August. The larvae of this moth feed on Abies balsamea and Picea glauca.
