About Archiearis notha (Hübner)

Archiearis notha, commonly known as the light orange underwing, is a moth species belonging to the family Geometridae. It was first described by Jacob Hübner in 1803, and is found in Europe. This species has a wingspan of approximately 35 millimetres. Adult moths take flight from March to April, with the exact timing varying by location. The larvae of Archiearis notha feed on aspen (Populus tremula), and hide between leaves that they have spun together during the day.
