Arceuthobium vaginatum (Humb. & Bonpl. ex Willd.) J.Presl is commonly known as sheathed dwarf mistletoe or southwestern dwarf mistletoe. It is a parasitic plant native to the southwestern United States, as well as northwestern and central Mexico. This species most often grows as a parasite on pine trees of the genus Pinus.
