About Aquarius conformis (Uhler, 1878)

Aquarius conformis is a species of water strider belonging to the family Gerridae. This species is distributed in eastern North America, ranging from Quebec west to Wisconsin, and south to Florida and Mexico. Adult individuals of Aquarius conformis grow to between 15 and 16.5 millimeters in length. Aquarius conformis is a member of the A. elongatus species group, and it shares the closest relation with A. nebularis, another species that also occurs in eastern North America.
