Adult males of this species typically measure between 12.5 and 14.2 mm (0.49 to 0.56 inches) in total length, while adult females are larger, ranging from 13.9 to 16.2 mm (0.55 to 0.64 inches) in length. Its known range includes Florida (specifically areas southward from Duval County) and northern Mexico.
