About Apata pricei (MacFarland, 1966)

Apata pricei (MacFarland, 1966) is a species of flabellinid nudibranch. This species has cerata arranged in neat, clearly defined rows. Its body is translucent white with a pinkish tint. The outer third of the cerata becomes orange; the digestive gland at the tip of the cerata is red, and a small opaque white spot or ring sits at the cnidosac. Its rhinophores are annulate. This species reaches a maximum body length of 25 mm. The type locality of Apata pricei is Monterey Bay, California, where it was rarely found in shore rock pools. It has been recorded along the North American coast of the Northeast Pacific Ocean, ranging from Ketchikan, Alaska to La Jolla, California.
