About Anthurium obtusum (Engl.) Grayum

Anthurium obtusum (Engl.) Grayum is a plant species belonging to the genus Anthurium. It has a wide distribution across Central and South America, ranging from Belize to Bolivia. Adolf Engler originally described this species under the name Anthurium trinerve, and it was reclassified under its current name in 1997. This species is often easily mistaken for Anthurium scandens, but it can be told apart by two key features: it has a terrestrial growth habit, and it produces an upright white spathe that does not reflex like that of Anthurium scandens.
