The grey penduline tit (scientific name Anthoscopus caroli), also called the African penduline-tit, is a bird species that belongs to the Remizidae family. This species can be found in Angola, Botswana, Burundi, the Republic of the Congo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eswatini, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, dry savanna, and moist savanna. The grey penduline tit measures 8 to 9 cm (3.1 to 3.5 in) in length and weighs 6.5 g (0.23 oz). It counts among the smallest bird species found in Africa, alongside its cousin the Cape penduline tit, the possibly smaller mouse-colored penduline tit, and the tit hylia.
