Anthenantia villosa (Michx.) P.Beauv., also commonly spelled Anthaenantia villosa, is a species of grass with the common name green silkyscale. It is native to the southeastern United States, ranging as far west as Texas. This perennial grass can grow up to 4 feet tall. Its leaves reach up to 12 centimeters long, with silky hairs lining the edges. Its inflorescence is a pale green panicle that holds hairy spikelets. This grass is attractive to cattle, and can be included as a component of forage mixes. It is recognized as an indicator of good range condition.
