About Antennaria microphylla Rydb.

Antennaria microphylla Rydb., commonly known as littleleaf pussytoes, rosy pussytoes, pink pussytoes, small pussytoes, or dwarf everlasting, is a stoloniferous perennial forb belonging to the family Asteraceae. This species is widespread across northern and western North America. Its range extends from Alaska and the three Canadian Arctic territories east to Quebec, and south to Minnesota, New Mexico, and California. It grows in plains, hills, dry meadow, and open wood habitats. It is a small herb that produces male and female flowers on separate individual plants. It reaches a height between 1.2 to 12 inches (3.0 to 30.5 cm), and has spoon-shaped or oblong leaves. It flowers from late May to July. Columbian ground squirrels feed on littleleaf pussytoes. In cultivation, littleleaf pussytoes is valued by gardeners as a garden groundcover for its charming, very fine foliage.
