About Anorrhinus galeritus (Temminck, 1831)
The bushy-crested hornbill, scientifically named Anorrhinus galeritus, is a bird species that belongs to the hornbill family. This species is distributed across Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Thailand. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. It typically lives in social groups. Females of this species display a distinct nesting behavior: during incubation, they remain alone inside a tree hole covered with mud, and other group members bring food to them from outside the hole.
