Anolis charlesmyersi is a medium-sized species within the Anolis genus. Adult individuals can reach a snout-to-vent length of approximately 7.5 cm, or 3.0 inches. The tail is relatively short, measuring between 1 and 1.5 times the snout-to-vent length. For its genus, the species has very short hind legs. The dewlap is brick red in color and marked with rows of white spots. This species is native to Costa Rica and Panama. Its preferred natural habitat is forest, and it reproduces via oviparity (laying eggs).
