The coloration of its elytra is quite variable, ranging from greenish black to yellow or reddish, with cross-shaped black markings. This species is present in most of Europe, Asia Minor, the Caucasus, and Central Asia, ranging from Western Siberia and Kazakhstan to Mongolia.
