The Santa Marta mountain tanager (Anisognathus melanogenys), which is also called the black-cheeked mountain tanager, is a bird species that belongs to the family Thraupidae. This species is endemic to highland forest located in the Santa Marta Mountains of Colombia. It is closely related to the more widespread lacrimose mountain tanager, but the two species do not share overlapping geographic distributions.
