About Angelica lucida L.

Angelica lucida L. is a species of angelica that goes by the common names seacoast angelica and sea-watch. It is also counted among the many species in the celery family that are commonly referred to as wild celery. As its common names hint, this plant most frequently grows along coastlines. Its natural distribution covers the Atlantic, Pacific, and Arctic coasts of North America, as well as the Russian Far East. In Arctic regions such as Alaska, this species can grow much farther inland. In parts of the Northeastern United States, Angelica lucida is classified as an endangered species. In terms of appearance, Angelica lucida is generally similar to other angelicas, growing tall and producing dense umbels of yellowish-white flowers.
