Ancylometes rufus is a species of spider belonging to the genus Ancylometes. This species was first formally described by Charles Athanase Walckenaer in 1837. Individuals of this species are most commonly found living near bodies of water. It has been observed preying on frogs, specifically the species Dendropsophus melanargyreus and Ameerega trivittata.
