About Anaphe panda Boisduval, 1847
Anaphe panda is a moth species in the family Notodontidae. It was first described by Jean Baptiste Boisduval in 1847. This moth can be found in Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Kenya, Malawi, South Africa, Tanzania, and the Gambia. The larvae of Anaphe panda have been documented feeding on Bridelia micrantha. In Central Africa, these larvae are consumed as food, and they are particularly popular due to their high fat content.
