About Anampses twistii Bleeker, 1856
Anampses twistii, commonly known as the yellow-breasted wrasse, is a species of wrasse first described by Bleeker in 1856. This species is native to tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific region, ranging from the Red Sea to the Tuamoto Islands. It inhabits lagoons and reefs, occurring at depths between 5 meters (16 feet) and 30 meters (98 feet). Adults of the species can grow to a total length of 18 centimeters (7.1 inches). It holds minor importance for local commercial fisheries, and it is also sold in the aquarium trade.
