About Anacampsis niveopulvella (Chambers, 1875)
This species, Anacampsis niveopulvella, was first described by Chambers in 1875. The wingspan of adults measures approximately 12 mm. The forewings are a very dark brown color. Before the middle of the forewing disc, there is a single white spot, and two or three small additional white spots are located behind the middle of the disc. An irregular white fascia runs across the forewing, angled posteriorly at the start of the cilia. When examined under magnification, the entire wing appears quite densely covered in fine white dusting; the visible white spots are simply denser aggregations of this fine dusting. In terms of behaviour and ecology, the larvae of this species feed on plant species belonging to the genera Salix and Populus.
