About Amplexidiscus fenestrafer Dunn & Hamner, 1980
Amplexidiscus fenestrafer has a visible body made up of its oral region, which forms a flexible disc. When this disc is extended, it is covered in cone-shaped tentacles. This species can reach a diameter of 40 centimetres (16 inches), and its body color ranges from light beige to brown. This coral frequently forms small colonies, and lives at depths between 5 and 25 metres (16 to 82 feet) on the tops of reefs in the tropical waters of the Indo-West Pacific region.
