About Amphylaeus morosus (Smith, 1879)

Amphylaeus morosus (Smith, 1879) is a species of plasterer bee with the common name capricious dimorphic-masked bee. This species is endemic to Australia. Ecologically, A. morosus constructs linear nests using the pithy interior of the tree Cyathea australis. Wasps belonging to the genus Gasteruption have been observed attacking the nests of A. morosus.
