About Ampelomyia vitiscoryloides (Packard, 1869)
Ampelomyia vitiscoryloides, commonly known as the grape filbert gall midge, is a species of gall midge belonging to the family Cecidomyiidae. This species causes galls to form on grape plants, and it is widely distributed across eastern North America. It was first formally described by Alpheus Spring Packard in 1869.
