About Amethystea caerulea L.

Amethystea is a plant genus belonging to the Lamiaceae family. This genus was first formally described for modern science by Linnaeus in 1753. Only one species within this genus is currently known: Amethystea caerulea, which is commonly called blue amethystea. The species is native to China, Japan, Korea, Central Asia – including Tibet, Xinjiang, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan – and specific regions of Russia, which are Altai, Chita, Irkutsk, Buryatiya, and Primorye.
