About Ameiva atrigularis Garman, 1887
Ameiva atrigularis, scientifically described by Garman in 1887, is commonly called the giant ameiva and the Amazon racerunner. It is a species of teiid lizard that occurs in Venezuela, and on the islands of Trinidad and Tobago. Mature males of this species can reach a snout–vent length of 186 millimeters, equal to 7.3 inches.
