About Amblyeleotris rubrimarginata Mohlmann & Randall, 2002

This fairly elongated goby species reaches a maximum standard length of 8 centimeters (3 inches). Its body has a whitish base color, marked with five vertical brown or orange bars. It can be most easily told apart from other species in its genus by two key traits: a row of red spots along the margin of both dorsal fins and the upper portion of the caudal fin, and a prominent black spot located just above and behind the eye.
