About Amarynthis meneria (Cramer, 1776)

Amarynthis is a monotypic genus of butterflies belonging to the family Riodinidae. The genus contains only one species: Amarynthis meneria, commonly called the meneria metalmark. This species is common in lowland rainforests located east of the Andes. Its range extends from Venezuela, Suriname, and Guyana, south through the Brazilian Amazon to Peru and northern Argentina.
