Amanita elliptosperma G.F.Atk., commonly called Atkinson's destroying angel, is a basidiomycete fungus that belongs to the genus Amanita. While its toxicity has not been definitively confirmed, it is assumed to be deadly poisonous, just like its close relatives. This species was originally described from a collection made in North Carolina, and can be found in the eastern United States, ranging from New England down to eastern Texas.
