Alticus monochrus Bleeker, 1869, commonly called the Mascarene Combtooth Blenny, is a species of combtooth blenny that belongs to the family Blenniidae and the genus Alticus. This tropical blenny is found in the western Indian Ocean, specifically in areas including the Comoros, Mozambique, Madagascar, the Seychelles, and the Mascarene Islands. The species can grow to a maximum total length of 10 centimetres, which is equal to 3.94 inches. Individuals of this blenny feed primarily on benthic algae, and the species is oviparous.
