About Alsodes nodosus (Duméril & Bibron, 1841)

The scientific name of this species is Alsodes nodosus, originally described by Duméril, A. M. C. and G. Bibron in 1841. The original description was published in the work "Erpétologie Genérale ou Histoire Naturelle Complète des Reptiles", volume 6, released in Paris by Librarie Enclyclopedique de Roret. For habitat, scientists have observed this frog occurring in streams located within shrubland, at elevations between 150 and 1900 meters above sea level. This frog has also been observed inside protected areas: Cerro La Campana National Park, Río Clarillo National Reserve, and Roblería del Cobre de Loncha National Reserve.
