About Alophoixus ochraceus ruficrissus (Sharpe, 1879)
The ochraceous bulbul, with the scientific name Alophoixus ochraceus, is a songbird species that belongs to the bulbul family Pycnonotidae. Its range extends from Southeast Asia to Sumatra. It typically occurs in the mid-storey of broad-leaved evergreen forests and rainforests, at elevations up to 1500 metres. The subspecies Alophoixus ochraceus ruficrissus was first described by Sharpe in 1879.
