About Allopeas clavulinum (Potiez & Michaud, 1838)
Allopeas clavulinum (Potiez & Michaud, 1838) has a turreted shell that is delicate, glassy, translucent, and marked by a polished sheen. Its shell has six convex whorls, with the body whorl being the largest. The oval aperture is angular on its top and left sides, the peristome is simple and sharp-edged, and the shell has a blunt apex. This species is non-indigenous and widely distributed across the tropics and subtropics of East Africa. It has been introduced as a "hothouse alien" to Great Britain and the Czech Republic, and also occurs in India, Australia, and the Philippines.
