About Aleurodiscus berggrenii (Cooke) G.Cunn.
Aleurodiscus berggrenii is a species of fungus that grows on southern beech trees. This species is endemic to New Zealand, and can be found on both the North Island and South Island of the country. Its type specimen was collected at Maungatua, Otago. It grows on the branches of trees, directly on top of the bark, and its fructifications form an irregular polygonal pattern.
