About Alcides metaurus Hopffer, 1856
Alcides metaurus Hopffer, 1856 has a wingspan of approximately 100 mm. Its larvae feed on multiple species from the plant family Euphorbiaceae, which include Endospermum medullosum, Endospermum myrmecophilum, and Omphalea queenslandiae. This species occurs in Queensland and the area around New Guinea.
